What is your favorite physical practice (like yoga) that you have never tried? Running, but I don’t know the name of the sport or anything about it. Have you found a new activity that you really enjoy I like hiking. I’ve been to the Great Sand Dunes. I haven’t really learned to love it, but it’s a challenge. Have you traveled? I have. New York, California, Virginia, Florida, Alaska… I like to fly. And have a friend in Hawaii, so I go to a conference once a year. It’s always great.

Would you rather do work that you love, or work that you love that is work? Love. Both have their advantages. Do you have a plan for retirement? I don’t really think about it yet. I’ve been single for a really long time, and I just figure I’ll do what I want to do. What is something on your bucket list? I want to learn more about fly fishing. That is something I’m interested in. I want to try all the things I saw in the video of “The Shining” and “The Shining.” I think I want to explore Alaska. I want to see more of Ireland. I want to go to New Zealand. I need to take a trip to England. I want a lot of adventures. Right now it’s more of a wish list than a bucket list.

How does doing yoga make you feel? (Is it something that you feel in your body?)What have been some recent changes in your life or in your job that have improved your life? I was recently diagnosed with an illness and at that moment I realized how precious the years of my life are. I’m grateful my mom and dad still have me. I see my family and I feel closer to them. I do feel more grounded. My job is so stressful and I’m grateful for those moments when I slow down and just try and be mindful and have a little more patience when I need to because I’m feeling frustrated or anxious or I’m having a hard time getting something done. I just try and be mindful and get back again from that.

What yoga poses or positions do you enjoy? Every pose. Every one is a challenge if I really try…I love arm balances, balance poses, inversions as well as rest poses. I feel the challenge more when I’m doing some of the vinyasa poses, the fast ones that are more difficult with your breath. I do love that they’re all challenging. How did you get started as a yoga practitioner? I just think about what it means to be a human being. There are some moments in my life when I wanted to be a different person, when
