SCOPE reaffirms its Inexperienced Pledge, hosts programme on ‘Local weather Motion Initiatives by Public Sector Enterprises in India’

Pursuant to its endeavours of mitigating local weather disaster, Standing Convention of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) in collaboration with GIZ, Germany, organised a programme on ‘Local weather Motion initiatives by Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) in India’, showcasing function of PSEs in decreasing carbon footprint, regardless of working in exhausting to abate sectors. Dr. Philipp Ackermann, German Ambassador to India; Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NTPC; Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman, SCOPE and CMD, GAIL; Pawan Kumar, Principal Adviser, DPE; Dr. Julie Reviere, Nation Director, GIZ India; Atul Sobti, DG, SCOPE, addressed the occasion in presence of senior officers from DPE, GIZ, and numerous PSEs. Throughout the programme, a first-of-its-kind Compendium on ‘Initiatives in direction of Constructing Low-Carbon Financial system’ and a brief movie on ‘Local weather Motion and Inexperienced Initiatives by PSEs’ highlighting endeavours of PSEs in hard-to-abate sector have been launched. This was adopted by signing of a brand new MoU between SCOPE & GIZ-Germany to develop options to realize sustainable and financial city and industrial improvement.
