Mumbai: Former zonal director of the Narcotics Management Bureau (NCB) Sameer Wankhede on Friday obtained the help of the Shiv Pratishthan Yuva Hindustan based by Sambhaji Bhide of Sangli. Nitin Chaugule of the youth organisation mentioned it’s unlucky that at a time when the drug mafia could be very lively within the nation, an officer like Wankhede is being focused.
Chaugule introduced a small statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to Wankhede, who was accompanied by his spouse Kranti. He mentioned his organisation would quickly meet Union Residence Minister Amit Shah and ask him to take motion in opposition to a senior official of the NCB who was behind the CBI case in opposition to Wankhede.
Accusations on Wankhede
The CBI has accused Wankhede of demanding a bribe of Rs25 crore for favouring Aryan Khan, the son of actor Shah Rukh Khan. Wankhede has vehemently rejected the allegation. He has maintained that the CBI has completely no proof of him demanding cash from the actor and that he’s being hounded on the behest of a senior NCB official.
In the meantime, the Republican Occasion of India led by Union minister Ramdas Athavale has prolonged its help to Wankhede, who’s a Dalit. The organisation mentioned it won’t stay a silent spectator to the “persecution” of Wankhede.
