A SOUTH American drug gang that smuggled over 1,200 kg of cocaine by way of Valencia and Barcelona ports have been dismantled.
All of the seven members of the prison group have been arrested by Policia Nacional.
They created a Valencia-based enterprise community for the reception of cocaine shipments in Spain.
Police investigators first intercepted three containers arriving on the Port of Barcelona from Colombia on the finish of January.
The cargo was declared as sacks of ceramic glue, however contained 1,124 kg of cocaine as a substitute.
This operation led the gang to alter the corporate used for the transport of the substances.
However brokers detected a second cargo arriving from Ecuador to the Port of Valencia in March.
After an intensive search, 143 kg of cocaine have been discovered hidden within the backside of a container of bananas.
Police arrested all of the seven members of the organisation and searched the chief’s home.
Greater than €80,000 in money, three automobiles and 9 cell phones, a few of them with encrypted communications, have been seized from the property
