Former Mungiki chief Maina Njenga was launched on Thursday, Could 25, after being whisked away from the Directorate of Legal Investigations (DCI) headquarters alongside Kiambu Highway by police.
Njenga – who had offered himself to the DCI early within the day, was launched on free bond.
It was reported that police launched the ex-Mungiki chief after being pushed across the metropolis by the police.
Police had pushed off with Njenga to an undisclosed location forcing his legal professionals to chase after the detectives. Ndegwa Njiru, his lead legal professional, claimed that the police deliberate to detain him at Kiambu Police Station.
