President William Ruto has reaffirmed the federal government’s dedication to slim disparities in teacher-student ratio in public colleges as a part of reforms within the training sector.
Ruto who spoke at Limuru Ladies Excessive College mentioned his administration had stepped up efforts to rent extra academics to attain a suitable teacher-student ratio.
“I’ve instructed CS Schooling to look into this matter at the same time as we wait to make use of academics subsequent yr. We’ll proceed doing that in all our colleges,” he mentioned.
President Ruto famous that the Lecturers Service Fee (TSC) had already employed 35,000 academics because the company works to help newly created Junior Secondary Colleges beneath the Competency Primarily based Curriculum (CBC).
He mentioned the federal government will make investments comparable efforts in enhancing funding of public universities.
